James Fisher, born in Princeton, Indiana, spent seven of his early years in Central Africa where his parents were medical missionaries. He attended high school in central Indiana at Lebanon High School in the 60’s. He attended college in Cedarville, Ohio, and in Bloomington, Indiana where he competed a bachelor's degree in 1971. After graduation from Indiana University, he worked in various occupations ranging from teaching (science in a private high school and college) to health care (Anesthesia Technician) to manufacturing (quality engineer and failure analyst). He’s been living in upstate South Carolina since 1980 and married a Southerner in 1983. After working in manufacturing for 25 years, he performed sleep studies for six years and has been enjoying retirement since 2012. A few years ago, he began to dabble in writing for his own amusement or his own amazement, as the case may be. He enjoys touring the cities and the beaches of the Atlantic coast, sightseeing in the Smoky Mountains, and boating in the lakes and rivers of South Carolina and Georgia.
